TRIP TO ALASKA

This summer we got the chance to go to Alaska. I had no idea what kind of impact Alaska would have on me. Usually on vacation I am a mess, worrying about the house and Ruffledale, thinking it is all going to fall apart while I am gone. Not in Alaska, all my worries just disapeared, if I could just fly the dogs up we might just become an Alaskan native. Not only was it the most beautiful place I have ever been it was fun as hell for all of us.

The grandparents (Guy and Domani) have been trying to get us to go for a couple of years and now they will not be able to keep us away!

So the best part of Alaska was all the fishing.

Grandpa decided we needed to go catch some halibut, so we went out for a day for a halibut trip. As we are sitting on the boat I remember our conversation going something like this....


TeAnna Says "So Dad, what is the biggest halibut you have ever caught."

Dad Replies "Probably about 120 pounds."

TeAnna "Holy Shit, that is a big fish, that would be pretty cool."




then after about 5 minutes.......




I feel a fish bite, for some reason I feel as if my fishing pole is broken, the damn thing is not bringing the fish in. I start complaining to the guide, and he laughs it off telling me it is just a big fish, about 20 minutes later and some help from Blake this is what I caught......

















How cool is that... This fish was 5" 2" and weighed in at 130 pounds. Yep, bigger then me and my Dad's fish... hehe
