Fishin'

When I was born my father was a little disappointed...I came out a little girl, after the doctor had told my parents I was a boy. After a little while he did get over the fact that I was a girl, but that didn't stop him from trying to get me to like "boy things." Lucky for me, Dad took me a lot of fun, cool places that most girls might not enjoy to much. Lucky for Dad, I was a "tom-boy," that really enjoyed all those places..He never did get a girl but he did get a girl that enjoys to do boy things....

Now years later, I am dreaming of having a little girl....buying cute girl clothes, taking her shopping...all the fun little girl things we could do!!!

Then I have days like yesterday where I get to go fishin' with MY BOYS!!!!

Some days can be crazy living with 2 little and 1 big boy...but I never would want it any other way!! I love my BOYS!!!

We took one of Killian's best friends on our fishing trip. His name is Ben and I love taking pictures of him because he has the most beautiful eyes. It's weird that Killian is old enough to have little friends knocking on our door to "play." I love it, but it also makes me sad that he is growing up soooo fast.

This past weekend Blake and I traveled to Helena, Montana for one of my Best Friend's Weddings. Not only did we stay in a beautiful Bed and Breakfast, we were able to see Jodie marry her Best Friend, Kyle Phillips in the most beautiful Cathedral I have ever seen.

I have many more pictures...but I know that Jodie is in Costa Rica right now stalking the Internet for photos of her wedding. She had an amazing photographer that was there to capture their beautiful day and I know she can't help herself but to look for her photos, probably daily, maybe more than once a day....so I posted some of my favorite pictures that I took at her wedding.

For you that don't know Jodie, she has worked for me for many years, and helped me build Ruffledale to what it is today, I couldn't have made it to where I am without her help or her friendship. I am so grateful to have her in my life. Over the years of working with her I have gotten really close to her and I am soooooo excited for her and Kyle to start their lives together. Congratulations you too...(Kyle, I will make sure to include some pics of you in the next post!!) Love you guys, have a wonderful time in Costa Rica!!!!

I hate, hate, hate getting pictures done of myself, I guess it's because I only see my physical flaws. If I never had any pictures taken I can pretend I don't possess those flaws...haha..but then there are my beautiful little boys and sexy husband that I love getting pictures of.

I decided it was time to get a family picture done, the last one we had taken professionally was right after Blake and I tied the knot. In the picture was Blake, me, Dakota and Kenna. No kids yet, the picture would have been taken about six years ago. We don't have a picture with us and the kids so it was about time. I decided we really should try to make it an annual thing. We will see if that works out!!

My sweet Sister-in-Law Shanae has been dying to see some of the pictures. Unfortunately due to circumstances I was unable to get them to her sooner.. Anyway girl, here is some of the pics, you can see the rest when you come babysit my crazy boys for the rest of the week. :)

Before & After

Before Blake and I moved into our Kaysville home I dreamed about "my green and brown" room. I had it all planned out, the stripes I would paint to the window treatments I would hang. I loved the green and brown room, but over time the green and brown room was monotonous and I started to HATE it.

I had sold a lot of stuff on KSL so I thought maybe I could sell the whole room together. I put the whole room on KSL and in a week I sold all of it, even the window treatments..

Now I had to decide what to do with the space......After thinking about it and asking everyone the decision was made to make it into a home office...We decided on IKEA because the price was great and I loved the look of it...Thanks to my sweet HUSBAND here is the finished product.......

Salmon River

I will have to admit I was a little bit intimidated when we first arrived at the River, it was dark and everyone was giddy, excited for the next day to blaze the river and "hit" all the rapids that we possibly could. We had an awesome camping spot right beside the river and the sand made me believe we were back in Akumal, but I was still concerned what tomorrow was going to bring.

Then the sun rose and breakfast was served. The others arrived that morning and the fitting of life jackets began. This is when I got really nervous, Jacki was tightening our life jackets so tight we could not take a breath, and don't even think of removing those babies after fitted because they will not fit again. I am thinking to myself, "holy s___, we are in for it, really, do they have to be this tight," in my head I imagine some rapids the size of buildings coming straight for us, us flaying around inside our tiny boat, and seeing our lives pass before us. Back in the day I totally would have been down for this, but something happens after birthing children, your "need for speed," definitely turns in to a "need for security." Now I am a little numb, not quite sure if that is because I am afraid or because Jacki has talked me into diving in head first into the Salmon River before take off. She tells me that this will make for a warmer ride because you are already wet (I still am not quite sure if I believe her!!!) Now we are off, paddle in hands, I am ready to go "hit" some sh__. Hold on tight, here we come.

After the first trip down the river...I felt a lot better....a little more secure. It was an awesome trip and we all had a ton of fun. We definitely will be attending next year.
