Chicago

It has been awhile since Blake and I have gotten to take a vacation without the little ones...like three years, but it finally happened. We took a weekend trip to Chicago with Zak, Emily, Tami and Kevin.

While we were there we went to the Utah game, where we got our A--'s royally kicked by Notre Dame. The guys got lucky though, and saw the Chicago Bears whip the Vikings the next night!

In all, the trip was great and I would love to return to Chicago again. Great food..Great shopping..Great fun!!

For all of you reality show lovers, this couple is on "the Real Housewives of DC," you remember the ones that pretended to be invited to the White House and snuck in to meet the President.

Summer Cabin Trip

Have ya heard the saying, "the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree."

I would dream when I was pregnant with Killian that I would have a little girl that I could take to dance and put TuTu's on, curl her hair and buy cute little dolls. But the Doctor confirmed that I was pregnant with a boy, and of course Blake was so excited he already had his name picked out. Little "Killa" was born and I couldn't love him more, but there are times when I think to myself, I married a man and we created together a little clone of the same man. Aghhhhhh

We had been at the cabin and the weather was bad, so Blake and Killian spent most of the day shooting live things to make them dead..surprise...the story of a Flannery boy's life....

Really?!?! Yep, that is my three year old holding up his "Kill," more excited about the dead bird he and his father shot then a new toy.

This is my life, Boys, Trucks, Trains, Action Heros and a lot of Dead Things, but I can't complain. They are my life, they make it fun and interesting and I love all three of "My Boys" more than anything.

The rest of the pics are from our summer vacation in the Uintas. We had a great time, and all of us were able to come including the two dogs.

We Took Two Years Off!!!

Life seems to just fly by..... It has been two years since our last post. Everyday for the last two years I think about getting on and blogging. I laugh everyday at my beautiful children and the funny things they say. Then I realized that blogging is like a daily journal, and realize that this is it, what I need at night....to relax and recap..

Blake and I laugh everyday at all the funny things our kids do, and we always say how we need to write it down, but we don't...so here we go, we both commit to start blogging our memories.....

Fishing on the Kenai River on Grandpa's boat....

One of the fishing trips we took we had to fly a float plane to a small river to fish for salmon. It was a blast. We each were able to catch 3 silvers each, but guess what I got lucky again and caught the biggest one!!!

Besides fishing a lot, we ate a lot!! I remember never once feeling any hunger on our trip, it was great... These pics we are at a little restaurant called Buckets.

Killian and Mom... we went to this awesome store that had these huge wood carvings you could get on, unfortunately Killian was hungry, so he was not very willing to smile, but this picture turned out ok....

So Grandma felt bad that Killian did not have any toys at the Cabin, so her and Killian went to the store, and Grandma let Killian pick out what he wanted. Of course he picked the most annoying toy that the store sold. The talking firetruck. The damn thing never shut up, Killian loved it, but every night we were singing to ourselves, out loud and in our sleep... "I sure put that fire out fast....."






We did see one bear while we were there. It was while we were driving, Grandpa spotted it. Blake and I jumped out of the car and got some pictures. The moose was right outside the airport in Anchorage on the side of the road also.

We took an all day sight seeing cruise... It was amazing to see how beautiful Alaska is. Here are some pics from our cruise....
